Nose: Barley sugars, yellow fruit, apple, banana, apricot, peach. An obvious fragrant aroma of lemon zest . Further notes of ripe plums. Dilution brings ripe melon, guava, faint all spice.
Palate: Sweet and soft with lots of fruit and acidity, lemon, mint, cinnamon, and green tea. lemon cake and dried pineapple. With water added - lively mouthfeel, fresh green herbal notes, charred.
Finish: Green grapes, kiwi, cinnamon, fresh green apple skin. Short - medium length with a clean freshness. The Fable brand is founded on storytelling, each label has different illustrations highlighting characters and scenes from the various chapters. Chapter Two of Volume 1 - ‘The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay’ - is named 'Folk' and is a 7 Year Old, cask strength Linkwood aged in Hogsheads. Labels and illustrations by artist Hugo Cuellar.
