Domaine La Toupie - Volte Face

Volte Face is a blend of predominantly Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. The Syrah, which comes from a very old plot on a steep slope with schist soils, is macerated and fermented directly in new 400l barrels. The other grape varieties are aged in barrels for around ten months.

This wine, once decanted, opens with notes of ripe fruit, mixed with sweet scents of tobacco and garrigue. On the palate, a very beautiful body, present, fine and elegant tannins, a long, complex finish with spices.

This cuvée, after a few years of ageing, will gain even more harmony. Since the first vintage in 2013 this wine has been awarded numerous distinctions.
