Atamisque - Catalpa Chardonnay

If Chardonnay really is making a comeback in the UK it must be due, at least in part, to wines like this. It’s no longer shameful to ask for a Chardonnay with plenty of oak and when done well, as here, the result is a happy reunion.

This is a big wine with lots of lovely pineapple, honey and vanilla nuances, but it is not overblown, the acidity is excellent, and people are loving it.
