Ben Glaetzer - Amon-Ra

From the renowned and very talented winemaker Ben Glaetzer comes one of Australia's finest red wines (97 Points Robert Parker). Glaetzer is at the front of the new generation of winemakers in Barossa, who has regularly been producing award winning wines. All fruit for Glaetzer wines is taken from the small sub region of the northern Barossa, called Ebenezer. Aromatically complex and expressive thanks to the long growing-season it has a beautifully-scented aromas of black fruits, sweet wood spices, chocolate shavings and purple flowers. On the palate it is full-bodied and rich, yet nicely balanced by natural acidity, blackberry fruit is interwoven with mocha, star anise, graphite and blueberry pie to display a sensationally complex palate. The finish is long, rich and silky with the ripe tannins framing the fruit and coating the palate.
