South Loch Gin – Black Raspberry Old Tom Gin

£30.00

South Loch Gin – Black Raspberry Old Tom Gin

South Loch Black Raspberry Old Tom Gin, leads with classic juniper and citrus with subtle sweetness of raspberry for a modern take on Old Tom Gin

We use carefully selected dry and fresh botanicals to make this gin special. Old Tom Gins historically had a touch of sweetness and depth of flavour which the more modern London Dry gins didn’t. We didn’t want to make this gin sweet so we have only added the smallest amount of sugar and colour from raspberries.

For a classic G&T we recommend using either fresh berry fruits like raspberries as garnish or using lemon to add citrus balance to the raspberry in the gin. If you would like to try a more contemporary serve we love this gin with a good ginger ale!

The name South Loch comes from The Meadows, one of Edinburgh’s famous parks, which was originally named South Loch before changing it name to The Meadows in 1621. The park was once a source of water for Edinburgh’s inhabitants including its many distilleries and breweries.
