Sourced from a single block of Riesling planted in 1971. The fruit is harvested in the early hours of the morning, pressed to tank keeping only the free run juice for this wine. No fining agents were used and mid palate texture was enhanced by sometime on yeast lees.
A dry Winter and fleeting Spring was followed by a warm growing season with welcome rainfall in December and January leading to full, healthy canopies enabling excellent yields and great flavour development.
Brilliant pale straw with emerald flecks.
Lively and concentrated citrus flavours continue on the palate with pure, bright, minerally acidity and a subtle textural length.
Whilst ready to drink now, this wine will gain in complexity over the next eight to ten years.
